Along with our other high quality services we offer, Animal Hospital of Huntington Beach maintains an extensive in-hospital pet pharmacy for your pets’ medication needs. If we do not have medicines you need in stock, we will be glad to order it for you and most medicines only take 24 or 48 hours to arrive here. The prices for the medicines that we offer in our hospital rival or are competitive with most other pet supply stores, including on-line pharmacies. For your convenience, prescription medications may be refilled by phone or email. In order to have your prescription refilled, we suggest that you call at least 24 hours ahead or email at least 48 hours ahead. That way we can have your prescription ready when you arrive. We can even mail products directly to your home for a minimal charge. Pharmacy laws require that your pet has had a recent physical examination. Some medications do require periodic blood tests. We will be keeping you informed if those are needed.

Return Policy for Prescriptions
The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy and FDA Compliance Policy Guideline 7132.09 state that our facility is not to allow patients to return unused prescriptions or over-the-counter products. Our office is held solely responsible in any instance of altered or contaminated prescription drugs harming any pet or pet owner. For this reason, we cannot accept any returns of opened items or any returned prescriptions. Also, any items that are beyond their expiration date are not acceptable for return. Please keep in mind that these policies are set in place to protect you and your pet from receiving potentially harmful substances.

Diet foods and other retail (non-prescription) products that are unopened may be returned for a full refund for any reason within 60 days of purchase.
